Description
ToF (Time of Flight) Unit is a laser ranging unit that integrates the VL53L0X laser ranging module. It calculates the distance between the emitting point and the detected object by measuring the round-trip time of the laser signal. Unlike traditional ranging methods, ToF provides accurate distance measurement regardless of the reflectivity of the target.
By emitting a laser with a wavelength of 940nm, ToF can measure absolute distances of up to 2m in less than 30ms. This unit offers precise distance measurement data, making it suitable for a wide range of applications where accurate ranging is essential.
This unit communicates with M5Core via I2C(0x29).
- In this case, make sure you use the 3.3V on SDA and SCL, M5Core GROVE provide 3.3V to data pins, 5V to power pin. only 3.3v allowed on VL53L0x.
