Description

GPS is a satellite positioning unit that integrates the SciStar AT6558 BeiDou navigation chip and the MAX2659 signal amplifier chip. It provides high-quality satellite positioning services.

The AT6558 is a high-performance navigation chip that supports multiple satellite navigation systems. It can receive satellite signals from up to 56 channels and simultaneously receive GNSS signals from six satellite navigation systems. It enables combined positioning, navigation, and timing to obtain accurate global positioning information. The AT6558 can quickly and accurately locate in areas with weak signals, such as cities, canyons, and under elevated structures. It can be widely used in various products, including vehicle monitoring, bus stop announcements, in-car navigation, boat navigation, and laptop navigation.

To use the GPS unit, connect it to PORT C and establish communication with M5Core using the UART protocol. This allows the M5Core to receive data from the GPS module and utilize the positioning information for various applications.

By integrating the GPS unit into your project, you can enable accurate positioning and location-based functionalities. Whether it's for navigation, tracking, or other location-aware applications, the GPS unit provides reliable and precise satellite positioning services.
