PRODUCT DETAILS

Description

FAN Unit is a unit that features a DC motor and is built using an N20 DC motor. It has an output shaft speed of 8800 RPM (no-load). With its unidirectional rotation characteristic, it can be used as a power source in structures that require motion control. For example, it can be employed to control the rotation of wheels.

The FAN unit provides a compact and efficient solution for generating rotational motion. By connecting the unit to suitable control circuitry, you can regulate the speed and direction of the motor, enabling precise control over the movement of connected components.

Applications for the FAN unit extend beyond controlling wheel rotation. It can be utilized in various robotic systems, automation projects, and DIY creations where the generation of controlled rotational motion is necessary. Its versatility and compatibility with M5Stack Controllers make it a valuable component for projects requiring motorized motion control.

    Really nice product.

It's very well made, and comes with the only cable it needs and two propellers, forward and reverse.

The motor is very strong - given the N20 neodymium magnets in it. In fact, just rotating the propeller by hand lets you feel the magnets resisting your finger!

There's an example program on the product page showing how to control its speed too - so getting started is as simple as uploading the code to the M5Stack system in Arduino and plugging the motor in.

It's directly driven by an IO pin of the grove connector - so this little device needs a pin all of its own for each motor added? Perhaps a new version may come with IC2 support, so a bunch of motors can be connected?

Either way - it's a fun device to see some "real world" influences the M5Stack system can have! A++ =)
