Description

StamPLC is an IoT programmable logic controller designed for industrial automation and remote monitoring. The product is based on the StampS3A control module, which not only delivers powerful processing capabilities but also provides efficient wireless connectivity. In terms of control, StamPLC offers 8 opto-isolated digital inputs and 4 relay outputs (supporting both AC and DC loads), along with a GPIO.EXT port and 2 Grove interfaces, making the integration of various sensors and actuators both simple and reliable. Meanwhile, through the onboard PWR-CAN and PWR-485 interfaces, the device can be seamlessly integrated into industrial fieldbus networks, enabling remote data transmission and centralized control. For human-machine interaction, the product features a 1.14-inch color display, a RESET/BOOT button, 3 user buttons, and a buzzer, which facilitate real-time parameter configuration and status monitoring, and can alert users in the event of anomalies. To withstand harsh industrial environments, StamPLC supports a wide voltage input (DC 6–36V) and is designed for DIN rail mounting to ensure secure installation; the built-in Micro SD card slot further facilitates data storage and firmware updates. Additionally, its environmental monitoring system integrates an LM75 temperature sensor and an INA226 voltage/current sensor for real-time feedback on device operation, while the RTC (RX8130CE) module ensures accurate time synchronization and log recording. The factory firmware automatically uploads data to M5’s EZDATA cloud platform, generating monitoring pages and offering users convenient remote cloud access and control. This product is suitable for industrial automation, remote monitoring, smart manufacturing, and other applications.

Really nice implementation

This feature-rich little thing is really handy in DIY projects. I used it as brew control. The processor is more than enough for almost every use case

Excellent Din Rail Controller for ESPHome/Home Assistant

I have been testing this controller out for the last few weeks and it is rock solid when it comes to wifi connectivity and performance. There is an amazing amount of functionality crammed into this unit and it represents terrific value for money. I have been using it with Home Assistant and ESPHome (for which I have adapted the various drivers). If you would like this device to work with ESPHome and Home Assistant I have uploaded the components and sample configuration file here:

Excellent package

Very nice package overall, really like the enclosure and inputs, outputs, DIN rail, RS485 and powering.. Turns out its a bit challenging with the opto coupled inputs requiring serial polling which I didn't realize till after I purchased it.
I'd like to use it as a device with Home-assistant esphome software-- however there needs to be a device driver for the power chip to turn on display power, and possibly to poll the opto-coupler inputs as well as drive the relays.
The current monitor is intriguing, however I was really looking for the capability to measure a 4-20mA analog signal that is used by so many sensors.

In test very good

Now is in test in standby for a final use but in this state the function of the original firmware are very interesting , is a complete device with all input ports and this is universal for the experiment.

M5Stamp PLC Controller with M5StampS3

I like the M5StamPLC a lot. It's very functional with a good set of features. What I would wish for in the next revision are status LEDs for the inputs and the relays.
Thanks
Felix
