Description

Unit KMeter-ISO is an integrated K-type thermocouple sensor unit that combines "acquisition + isolation + communication" functions. It uses the STM32F030 + MAX31855KASA 14-bit thermocouple digital conversion chip solution to achieve high-precision temperature acquisition and conversion. The MCU uses STM32F030 for data acquisition and I2C communication interface, and CA-IS3641HW is used as the signal isolator. This unit supports the connection of thermocouple probes with a measurement range of -200°C to 1350°C, and uses a universal standard K-type flat interface, making it easy to replace probes with different measurement ranges to meet various needs. This module is used in industrial automation, instrumentation, power electronics, heat treatment, and other fields for temperature acquisition, control, and monitoring applications.

need to buy their driver/display

I thought this might be set up to work with a millivolt meter like in the old days. Probably I could hook it up with some effort. Instead, I'll probably spring for the whole kit including the display device which is substantially more expensive. I haven't gotten around to that so until now I haven't been able to use it. Still, I have little doubt it will work just fine. Nicely made with quality connectors and what could go wrong with two metal wires welded together at the end? I'm happy and barring unexpected problems I'd buy it again.
The thermocouple would be better for my needs if instead of a tiny connector at the end it had separate connectors on each lead. This would be a lot easier to use for my needs. It's a small fix.
