It's cool when it works, but it doesn't work often enough yet. It freezes and needs to be be clicked. To unfreeze and it doesn't understand what's being said alot of the time. I usually have to go into home assistant to change the name and say it multiple times for it to understand.

A cute little trinket that works, but is basically useless for it's purpose.

The speaker is much too quiet to be useful, and does not have the ability to connect an external speaker. So, it works, but... doesn't.

    Disapointed

The premise is good but the equipment does not meet my expectations. I have to be within a few feet of the device to activate the wake word. Many device name words are never understood, the ESP-s3-box does a far better job. I can only conclude that the micrphone is poor quality. This is not a replacement for alexa devices.

    Battling with m5stack echo kit

Ive initially struggled to get firmware update done on the unit, then once it completed, it connected to HomeAssistant quite easily.

The unit is not providing clear voice feedback, seems to break up/stop halfway through.

Ive seen there were some issues on versions of ESPHome with it, will continue to try to get it working as i had hoped it would.
