Description

This M5GO IoT Kit is a multi-Unit feast with 6 M5units inside (ENV II, IR, RGB, PIR, ANGLE, HUB). Just like other M5Stack development kit, M5GO is powered by ESP32.

Every M5stack development kit can be programmed through Arduino IDE, WebIDE UIFlow, Micropython, and Blockly, simplifying the development process for those requiring a joint hardware and software solution. Not only does M5stack have far-reaching IoT applications in industry, agriculture, and home, but it also empowers students to learn to code in STEM classrooms.

This M5GO kit is specifically designed for STEM education. The pack includes 1 M5GO controller + 6 M5units + plenty of accessories. Having all those goods, together with the Blockly program platform, allows the school students to explore the engineering world , making their own IoT product and implement brilliant ideas into real life.

    A perfect set for beginners!

It was love at first sight for me when I got my hands into this kit. The development tools are so easy, I don't have kids but I would certainty recommend this as a gift for children. It reminds me of those science kits for kids. But I'm 35 and I find it super practical for prototyping! It's a great combination of ESP32 boards, the build is great, the magnets and LEGO connectors are a great idea. I hope you guys keep developing more kits like this one!

    Kind of happy until

Solid construction, a step up from the usual maker stuff, but the number and size of annoyences.

    - Crisp LCD image, but back light creeps through the white plastic.
    - Solid button press feel, but the A button gets stuck under the screen cover.
    - During lots of processor activities a constant buzz noise comes from the speaker.
    - While trying UIFlow power functions, messed up the IP5306 configuration, now it no longer works from the battery.
    - Tried to fix the IP5305 configuration, but can't because the only datasheet is in chinese and I don't know chinese.

In summary it is a product that still needs to mature, but it shows lots of promise. It is great when you do something and it is actually usefull and something that you really want to use. The side RGB led bars are really fun to use in projects!
    Keep up the work.

    M5GO IoT STarter Kit

Been playing with this kit for about a month now and absolutely love it. Using VS Code and MicroPython to code and it's been a great experience. Currently developing a Loitering Monitor so that the device will detect someone loitering in an apartment lobby and notify the superintendent via SMS message to investigate. Once complete, will probably port it to an M5StickC.
